Despite a rocky start in Siniya League Season 2—where Esaano FC has mustered just 4 points from 6 matches, scoring 8 and conceding 18—the shared core of 2007–2012 Kigezi College Butobere alumni found fresh momentum under the SOFIC FC banner in a high-octane friendly against Aboojo FC.
From the opening whistle, SOFIC FC showcased the slick passing and clinical finishing that league form had so far eluded them. In a four-quarter thriller, they ran out 11–8 victors over Aboojo FC, turning defense into attack with rapid transitions and a renewed attacking verve.
“This was exactly the attacking spark we needed,” said one SOFIC FC stalwart afterward. “Now it’s about carrying this confidence back into league action.”
For Esaano FC fans, the friendly provided a much-needed morale boost. The performance suggested that, with better cohesion and sharper finishing, the squad can climb out of the relegation zone. All eyes now turn to MatchDay 4 on 29 June 2025, where Esaano FC will look to translate SOFIC FC’s attacking magic into crucial league points.
