Appreciation For The Kigezi College Website Project

Acknowledgement & Appreciation

We would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to everyone involved in the creation and ongoing development of the Kigezi College Butobere website. This project was initiated in 2022 when Prof. James Tumwine, a distinguished Musiniya of the 60s and Lecturer at Kabale University, generously offered his support during a Siniya Alumni Forum (SAF) Online Zoom General Meeting held on 2/2/2022.

Under the leadership of Moses Ntahobari Turyomurugyendo, the then SAF Chairman, Tusiime Innocent Boub, who served as the IT Admin at Shore Partners, an esteemed Audit and Consultancy Firm in Kampala, was tasked with following up on Prof. Tumwine’s offer. Tusiime, also a Musiniya from the 1996 cohort and a longtime contributor to the Wikipedia page of Kigezi College Butobere since 2010, generously volunteered his technical skills and dedicated his time. With the support of a volunteer team at his organization, CodeZone Uganda, he spearheaded the development of the website.

Financial Support:

We would like to express our deep appreciation to Prof. James Tumwine who fulfilled his pledge by providing domain registration and 5GB hosting fees for 2022, and even a year later, he graciously covered the same expenses. We humbly request that the Basiniya community takes on the responsibility of ensuring the continued availability of this valuable online resource.

The Siniya website content team:

The initial stages of website creation posed significant challenges, particularly in accessing information from KCB – Siniya, given its current situation. However, through the collective efforts of the Siniya website content team and the technical team, remarkable progress has been made.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Siniya website content team, comprising Mr. Masiko Justus (Current Ag. Head Teacher – School Information), Eng. Hans Mwesigwa (Elder & School Magazines Chief Editor), Tumwine Godfrey Byamugisha (Science Lab Technician – Science & Volleyball Content), and the entire staff and student leadership of Kigezi College Butobere. Their invaluable contributions in conceptualizing and creating the website have been instrumental in its success.

The Technical Team:

Special recognition goes to the highly skilled technical team led by Tusiime Innocent Boub from CodeZone. Their expertise in design, development, and content creation has been pivotal in bringing the website to fruition and ensuring its quality and functionality.

Old Boys’ Support:

We would also like to acknowledge the generous contributions of Rwakinanga Samwiiri and the unwavering support of Moses Ntahobari Turyomurugyendo and all the Old Boys involved in this endeavor.
The outstanding work and unwavering dedication of every individual involved in the development of this website deserve utmost recognition. Without their commitment, diligence, and professional assistance, the realization of this website would not have been possible.

Through the Kigezi College Butobere website, the community now has a valuable platform to fully comprehend and appreciate the cultural and academic heritage of Siniya. It is our sincere hope that this website will increase the visibility of the school and aid in preserving its rich history.

We fervently wish that the Basiniya community will be inspired to selflessly support The Only Siniya, and that the younger generation will be motivated to carry forward the same legacy.

We encourage all visitors to thoroughly explore the website and discover the myriad wonders that Siniya has to offer. Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude to all those involved, and we remain committed to enhancing and improving the website over time.
